Yes. If you would like to extend your existing HOOKS installation later or need to replace a single hook, you can order individual pieces from us on request. Depending on availability, we also offer the different sizes and colours individually. Just let us know which version you need – we are happy to help you find the right addition.

Yes. The sets of five or nine HOOKS are composed as harmoniously balanced arrangements, but the individual elements can generally be combined freely. For project clients, interior designers and architects we also offer individual compositions. For larger projects we recommend agreeing on the desired combination with us early and having it reserved.

Yes. HOOKS are made of high-fired ceramic and are fitted with a thread of stainless steel. The screws supplied are also made of stainless steel. This means HOOKS can also be used in damper areas such as bathrooms. As with all high-quality surfaces, we nevertheless recommend avoiding standing moisture and aggressive cleaning agents.

HOOKS are designed as fully functional coat hooks and are suitable for jackets, coats, bags, towels and other accessories. However, the actual load capacity depends not only on the hook itself but in particular on the wall, the wall plug and the installation. For that reason we do not state a general maximum weight. HOOKS are not designed as a holding, climbing or safety element.

Every HOOKS set comes with matching screws made of stainless steel. Inside each hook there is a stainless steel thread through which it is securely fastened to the wall. Installation is straightforward: after drilling and inserting a wall plug suitable for your wall, the screw is fixed and the hook is then screwed on. This keeps the fastening almost invisible from the outside and puts the sculptural form in the foreground.

The right wall plug depends on the nature of your wall and is therefore not included.

No. That is precisely what makes HOOKS special: the individual forms do not prescribe a fixed composition. You can arrange them in a calm row, spread them loosely across the wall or create a formation entirely of your own. You also decide the spacing yourself. This allows HOOKS to adapt to the room and to the intended use – from a small coat rack to a generous wall installation.

The form goes back to the artist Emanuel Boos. The starting point is a hand-modelled original whose organic contours recall pebbles smoothed by water. An impression was taken from this model, which serves as the basis for production. In this way the immediate trace of the hand is preserved in the finished object.

Yes. The original model is created by hand in Emanuel Boos' studio. On the basis of the impression taken from it, HOOKS are then cast in our family-run partner manufactory in Sri Lanka, refined by hand and glazed. Small differences in surface and glaze are therefore part of the collection's character and make the craft production visible.

Yes. In 2023 HOOKS received several international awards: the German Design Award, the Houzee Award in Platinum and the SIT Furniture Design Award. The awards recognise a design that combines a functional coat rack with a sculptural wall object.

HOOKS combine the function of a coat rack with the presence of a wall object. Instead of a single, purely functional hook, several organic forms create an individual composition. Colours, sizes, spacing and arrangement can be combined, so HOOKS adapt to different rooms – and remain part of the design even when no jacket is hanging on them.
