PAUL is made of solid oak from European forests. The natural wood shapes each piece with its own grain, colour nuances and characteristic marks. As a result, no two PAULs are exactly alike.

Wood is a natural, grown material. Grain, colour, knots and small natural irregularities differ from piece to piece. It is precisely these differences that give PAUL its individual character and make every example one of a kind.

The surface is finished particularly finely and therefore feels smooth and silky. At the same time, the natural structure of the solid oak remains perceptible. In this way, PAUL combines the visual presence of solid wood with a surface you love to touch.

Yes. PAUL is deliberately designed to be versatile and can be used both as a stool and as a side table. Its reduced form makes it flexible to use – for example next to the sofa, by the bed, in the bathroom or as extra seating.

PAUL is made from carefully dried solid wood. A long drying process supports the dimensional stability of the material. As oak remains a natural material, it reacts to changes in indoor climate and humidity.

Yes. Solid wood is a living material and can change over time. Small cracks, changes in the surface or differences in the grain can occur in a solid wooden object and are part of the material's natural character. A balanced indoor climate and the high degree of drying help the wood stay stable.

For regular care, a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth is usually enough. Standing moisture and aggressive cleaning agents should be avoided. This keeps the finely finished surface intact for as long as possible.

PAUL can also be used in the bathroom, but should not be permanently exposed to direct moisture or standing water. Like all solid wood, oak reacts to humidity. A well-ventilated room is therefore important.
