KEIZU is made of porcelain. The deep black, matte surface gives the teapot its characteristic calm appearance and a pleasantly sensual feel.

KEIZU is cast in porcelain by our manufacturing partner in Sri Lanka and carefully finished.

The teapot holds 450 ml. This makes it particularly suitable for a personal tea moment or a small tea round, without having to prepare an unnecessary amount of tea.

Yes. The removable strainer lets you brew loose tea directly in the pot. No additional tea strainer is needed.

Put loose tea into the pot, pour over water at the temperature recommended for the type of tea, and let it steep accordingly. The removable strainer keeps the tea leaves in the pot as you pour.

Yes, KEIZU can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Because of the distinctive spout and the special matte surface, we recommend placing it carefully without direct contact with other dishes.

Yes. KEIZU is microwave-safe.

For especially gentle care, KEIZU can be cleaned with warm water, a soft sponge and a mild detergent. We recommend our specially developed cleaning paste, which you can also find on our website.

The handle is a defining element of the design. Its shape is not only part of the sculptural silhouette but is designed so that KEIZU is comfortable to hold and pour. In this way, a design detail becomes something you experience directly in use.

Absolutely. KEIZU was deliberately designed so that the pot has an impact as a sculptural object even when not in use. So it doesn't have to disappear into the cupboard after tea, but can remain part of the laid table or the room.

Yes. In 2025, KEIZU received the German Design Award. The award recognises a design in which sculptural form, materiality and use come together.

Yes. Among other places, KEIZU is used in a 5-star resort in the Maldives. The teapot was developed to combine distinctive design with regular use.

With its deep black, reduced design, KEIZU combines particularly well with KAYA H in Matte Black. At the same time, the pot can be used deliberately as a dark, sculptural accent alongside lighter tableware collections.
