A former bathroom was transformed into a new room with a floor area of 8 sqm , situated completely under the sloping roof. An overhanging cube integrated into the airspace of the staircase makes the pointed arch of the house into an extension of the room. The newly created sleeping area is accessible via integrated wall steps through the quiet and reading zone of the cube. A fixed glazing serves as a natural light source and connects the cube with the happenings of the house. Built-in desk and wardrobe in the three-level room provide a generous work area and sufficient storage space.
